Augusta House Services
A Place to Relax, Learn and Grow
Augusta House is a welcoming residential respite service run by 天美传媒 Social Services. It provides short-term breaks for adults and children with learning disabilities, offering a safe and supportive environment where individuals can enjoy new experiences, develop independent living skills and build confidence. At the same time, carers benefit from much-needed time to rest and recharge. With modern facilities, dedicated staff and a wide range of activities, Augusta House is here to support wellbeing and independence.
What We Offer
Augusta House offers short stay breaks for up to five people at a time (adults or children, but not both together). Stays are arranged through a booking system to ensure each person receives the right support at the right time. The length and frequency of stays are based on individual assessments and carers鈥 outcomes. We also support individuals receiving Continuing Health Care.

Facilities
Augusta House is fully accessible and designed to meet a wide range of needs.
Facilities include:
- Safe and secure, single-level building with wheelchair access
- Ground-floor bedrooms with en-suite or adjoining bathrooms
- Five bedrooms with hoists and fully accessible en-suites
- Large lounge and separate activities room
- Fully equipped kitchen and large dining room
- Laundry facilities
- Sensory room and enclosed sensory garden
- Extensive patio and landscaped garden
- Parking for up to 10 vehicles
- Easy access to pleasant walking routes, including the nearby Festival Lake
- Minibus providing transport to community activities
- Separate office/reception area
- All bedrooms include smart TVs, comfortable furniture and accessible layouts.
Meals
Guests are encouraged to get involved in meal preparation based on their own tastes and dietary needs. Daily meals are provided, and individuals are asked to bring money for any activities, meals or extras when out in the community.
Our Team
The Augusta House team is experienced, friendly and committed to creating a relaxed, homely environment. Every guest is allocated a link worker who visits adults at home or children at school before their stay to ensure individual needs are met.
About Our Staff
- Minimum QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualified
- One staff member on waking night duty
- Regular training, supervision and team meetings to maintain high standards

Activities
We support guests to enjoy activities they already love and to try new experiences. Typical activities include:
- Swimming, cinema and theatre trips
- Pubs, caf茅s, clubs and shopping
- Day trips and excursions
- Dancing, karaoke, music, painting, board games and table tennis
- Cooking, bowling and barbecues
An Amenity Fund operates at Augusta House to help fund extra activities, supported by regular fundraising events.
Health, Faith and Community
- Guests may register as a temporary resident with a local GP or maintain their usual GP depending on location.
- We support individuals to attend their chosen place of worship and meet other religious needs where possible.
Charges
Each individual receives an assessment of their personal financial circumstances to determine any contribution towards the cost of their stay.
