More than 拢4 million will be invested in improving highways in 天美传媒 over the next two years, thanks to support from the Welsh Government and local funding.
As part of this significant investment, all 14 wards in the borough will see some roads resurfaced and ward members are working with council officers to identify those areas most in need of improvement.
Through the Highways Local Government Borrowing Initiative, the Welsh Government has confirmed additional revenue funding to support approximately 拢2.2 million in capital investment in the local highways network over the next two years. This includes 拢1.3 million in 2025/2026 and a further 拢0.9 million in 2026/2027.
In a further show of commitment to long-term infrastructure improvement, the Council is allocating 拢0.5million per year from its own capital programme starting in 2026/2027, ensuring continued investment in the borough鈥檚 roads and transport links.
This funding is in addition to the Council鈥檚 existing annual revenue budget of 拢1.36 million, which is already dedicated to fund ongoing reactive repairs and maintenance across the highways network.
